Growing up in the roughest city in the nation has led me to see both sides of the railroad tracks. I was the girl who was insecure, emotionally abandoned, and steadily pursuing abusive relationships. I also was the girl who stepped out on faith and walked away from it all to begin new. Sometimes I'm old fashion and conservative while other times I'm daring and trying things the average person wouldn't dare to do. Call it odd or mixed up, but that's the beauty of our Nation and this show; we are such a diverse group of people. Born in Los Angeles California, she and her younger brother are of Guatemalan decent and experienced a childhood many can relate to. Growing up in Inglewood, her parents were able to overcome great adversity that ultimately positioned her to live a much different lifestyle than the generations before her. At a young age Yeira decided that her ultimate mission was to help others. Having had a strong passion against human trafficking, Yeira supports and counsels victims and lends her voice to those who are not afforded one. Her roles as mentor, advocate and encourager have instilled a sense of leadership and purpose in her life.

Yeira currently resides in Atlanta, GA and is actively pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her hobbies include, hiking, running, kickboxing, binge watching shows on Netflix and loving animals.

Psalm 23 perfectly describes the passionate love affair God and I have. I trust and truly believe that he is my Shepherd and I shall not want. But that has not always been the case. For years I roamed about mundanely lost, looking for something to fill the emptiness I felt inside; emptiness that was caused by the trauma, abuse, alcoholism, cancer, bitterness and unforgiveness that consumed my life. Although life kept labeling me a "victim" it wasn't until I made the choice to love God that I received a new label, “victorious survivor”.

A wise man once said, “those who have been forgiven much must forgive much" and that is the case for me. I have been in very dark places and made a lot of bad choices but it was because of the love, forgiveness, and grace that I received from my Heavenly Father that I am here today. My second favorite part of Psalm 23 states "though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me...” Today, I can proudly say that I'm a cancer survivor, I am no longer an alcoholic, and most importantly, I'm no longer just surviving, but rather living and thriving.

My hope for SALT is that the public recognizes that a relationship with God is not about legalistic rigid views or structured dogma but rather love, hope, and forgiveness. It will most certainly change your life – I am the proof.

From the time she was a child, Jennifer "J.J." Jones, who was born and raised in Southern California, has been an extremely creative, daring, and outspoken individual. Developing qualities of strength, leadership, and perseverance, J.J. is known for her ability to "tell it like it is" while still maintaining a compassionate and understanding demeanor. Going against the grain is something she is no stranger to and her boldness enables her to think and move outside the box that society and statistics try to place her in. J.J. confidently admits that she is a rule breaker.

Along with being a ministry leader and mentor, J.J. is known professionally as a visual artist whose creative abilities consist of painting, illustrating, crafting, dancing, set designing, concept creating, and graphic designing. Her belief is that she was created to create and jumps at the opportunity to leverage her abilities in multiple, creative facets. With her passion for the arts, J.J. plans to lead a ministry in the near future that helps others combine their love for art with the love of Christ.

J.J. is the mother of a beautiful, intelligent, and outspoken little girl name Jordyn, who keeps her extremely busy. They currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia where they both continue to live a life of boldness and purpose.

Looking back over my life I remember the wreck I used to be; I was so broken. I was exposed to several things growing up that led to a lack of self-confidence, value, and love. I craved these things as a young girl and tried to satisfy my hunger with love from a man, any man. Struggling with self-doubt, people pleasing, comparing myself to others, rejection, and abuse, Jesus was the only one who could help me. He saved me from the matrix of those sins I used to so foolishly frolic in and everything that stemmed from them. Now I am no longer ashamed of who I used to be, no longer afraid to be who I was created to be, and no longer seeking things that will never satisfy me. Jesus made me bold, helped me see my value, showed me how to love myself, cleansed me, and made me a new creation. I don't even have enough words for all He has brought me from let alone all that He continues to do for and through me. Now when I look at myself I am proud of the woman I see in the mirror. The beauty I see is solely a reflection of Him. Today, I appreciate what it means to be "Free in Christ", truly living a life of purpose instead of merely just trying to survive each day. Jeremiah 29:11 is my constant reminder of His promise to me.

I am excited for what Salt brings to the table because there is so much criticism, slander, gossip, and perversion going through our air ways these days. I believe that we are going to be a breath of fresh air that will add a positive flavor to today's media. My passion is to help open the eyes of those who do not know the truth about who they are in Christ, like I once hadn’t. So now that I know who I am, I want others to know who they are as well.
